This began a phase of practicing communication alchemy, exploring ideas through printmaking techniques, digital imagery, and word-play compositions. “Misc Matter” now playfully characterizes nrf studio as a nexus of query, exploration and creative solutions. She aspires to synthesize information and metaphor – creating literal, visual and material compositions that form practical design/marketing tools; or expressions of perception and ideas. In 2002 she received the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant Graphics for chef Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsburg, CA.
